EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Bright & Stormy Kids was an idea that was simmering for a long time, Stephanie started reselling her sons name brand clothes on Poshmark for extra funds when she realized there was a market for children's secondhand clothing. When she was laid off from her corporate job in 2022, she decided to make that idea real and take the risk of starting her own business.

The brand means more than just clothing, it promotes sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint of waste. There is an estimated 92 billion tons of textile waste generated by the fashion industry, we are doing our part to eliminate a small percentage of that; our world is changing, and we need to change with it. Sustainability in general, whether it's recycling, creating your own garden or buying second-hand, changes must be made, and this brand helps to supports that idea.

We believe this brand can turn into something bigger, especially here in the SLC area with so many families with children, the goal is a storefront with an online presence that can reach all 50 states. Thank you for your interest and support in our small business!

WHAT WE OFFER
It's inevitable, people are having kids, in fact we have 4 of our own; kids need clothing, and we provide them! Bright & Stormy Kids strives to supply families with affordable, fashionable, and FUN children's clothing from size premie to 6/7.

Secondhand – What started it all, we love sourcing and consigning children's secondhand clothing. We're always looking for items that are in excellent used condition that will keep your child's closet looking fresh and hip. Kids grow out of clothing so quickly and barely wear half of the items we purchase, so let's wear clothing down and keep passing it along.

Vintage - It began as a hobby, finding children's vintage clothing from the 60's through early 90's, it was something that brought back nostalgia of simpler times when kids were just kids. We played outside until dark, didn't have social media and lived in color! Children's clothing was literally made differently back then, such better quality and made to last, we love bright colorful pieces to match kids personalities and with lots of room to play in. Because of all these reasons, sourcing children's vintage clothing has become a favorite item to sell!

Upcycled - There's been so many times that we've found good quality clothing that unfortunately had a stain or hole, was a little bit out of style and was overlooked or thrown out. Being eco-conscious we decided to take those items and give them a second life, a little refresh and turned them into something new; something even one of a kind! From old baby blankets, onesies, adult t-shirts, literally anything that inspires Stephanie can be made into a reimagined clothing item.
